Allison van Heugten (b. Corpus Christi, Texas) is an architectural designer, artist, and archivist living in Joshua Tree, California.

Her practice is rooted in the creation of art as experience within the built environment, where light, material, and nature converge.

Ceramics act as an intimate counterpoint to her architectural practice, allowing for an exploration of smaller, organic forms that follow natural rhythms. Each ceramic is one-of-a-kind, hand-sculpted using clay, and electrically kiln fired. Often, these forms are left unglazed exposing itself to the process that they were formed and joined together.

Her photography offers a glimpse of color, a counter to the contemporary technological and political landscape.
